Today you will undertake various activities with your lodges guides and vehicles exploring Savute. The Savute Wildlife area (also spelt Savuti) is bordered by Chobe National Park to the east and the Okavango Delta to the west. The Savuti Channel runs a distance of 100Km from the Chobe River, to the Mababe Depression which is in fact the bed of the original super-lake. This channel brings water from the Chobe to Mababe, creating a small marsh – the Savuti Marsh which has been dry for the past 18 years. Only 38km northwest of Savuti lays Linyanti and the western reaches of the Savuti Channel.
